however, that actually are made to attack the core or one or another
function within Linux, but they require root access of some kind, save
for those that attack functions that aren't protected by access
restrictions.<br>

I think it's either a malfunctioning driver or a virus actually aimed
at that precise function. This would also be by somebody that KNOWS you
use a debian derived linux, meaning that if somebody gave you a virus,
it's very likely somebody that knows you.<br>
