[ubuntu-za] Open Office 3

I am running Hardy. There are a whole stack of updates waiting to be
installed for OO 2.4. I would prefer to skip all the updates and run 3.0. I
have an Intrepid alternate disk - can I install from that? Or should I down
load and install from
OOo_3.0.0_LinuxIntel_install_en-US_deb.tar.gz<ftp://ftp.saix.net/pub/OpenOffice.org/stable/3.0.0/OOo_3.0.0_LinuxIntel_install_en-US_deb.tar.gz>available
from the SAIX site?
