Hi Adrian

I also got a beta CD where on my notebook a LG on 7.4 it did boot into the
GUI. On the 7.10 it don’t... On a HP 6720s it did at least work, so I hope
it would be better. On my notebook I'm now stuck. I'll see if a can do
another test at HP with the 7.10 hopefully is more there hope.

I chose an HP 530 Core 2 Duo for my mother - she's a Windows user, to my
eternal shame ;-) but I tried out the 7.10β live-cd and it booted up
fine, and everything seemed to be working. I didn't install it or use it
for much time, but there were no obvious issues. I've also installed
Feisty on an identical machine for someone else.

It was R6500 at Computer Mania in Cavendish last week. (Make sure to
look at the Core Duo/Centrino version and not the Celeron one -
apparently the latter has some issues with the wireless.)

Cheers,
Adrian
