I assume this happened while you were installing from CD?  In that case,
the CD is most likely corrupted and this file integrity test is not
going to be the only fault on the CD.

It would be advisable to check your media - the option is given in the
menu after booting.  This involves scanning the disk surface and the
files to look for errors.

   http://packages.ubuntu.com/dapper/base/adduser
