Since Maarten asked about this, quick follow up:

Bug mail is directed to the ubuntu-x-swat@ team mailing list, which we
use for no other purpose (ubuntu-x@ is a non-launchpad based mailing
list).  So, if you want bugmail, subscribe to the swat team list;
otherwise don't subscribe.

As far as splitting up the bugmail by categories, there was no strong
demand for that.  If anyone wants it badly enough, they can certainly
set something up according to their desires.
