 From reading (and re-reading) these, it appears that both are related 
to the display devices.
If that is the case then I may be more inclined to install the ATI card 
and attempt to get the system stable.

I am just checking because I'd rather not try to diagnose 2 types of 
crashes at the same time!

The internal 82810E video is AGP and the ATI card is PCI so in the 
radeon comments above, my only option is radeon.modeset=0
