[ubuntu-x] i8xx legacy driver

Maybe it's not sufficient to request for testing only on this mailing 
list?
I've got two friends with i8xx chipsets which are very problematic in 
recent Ubuntu version but they've get back to older releases and 
unfortunately I don't have access to their PCs to make testing.
