that do have enough data to understand, most problems were either fixed
pre-release or are weird random corner cases. So I'm left with this
race-condition theory for why folks on forums are reporting troubles.

I do have to acknowledge that encountering problems when you have
proprietary drivers installed is hardly news, but a lot of people use
-nvidia so it's a use case we definitely want to work smoothly, as I'm
glad to hear it did in your case.
