Did 2.6.1 work after downgrading from 2.6.3?  I.e., have you
definitively seen it to be this specific driver causing the regression?

Please file a bug in launchpad for us to track and also forward upstream
to fdo.  If upstream provides a patch that solves the issue, assign the
bug to me and I'll try to see if we can get it in for jaunty.
