AMD delivered their xserver 1.6 enabled fglrx to me today for Jaunty.
It built/installed/booted fine, and XSmoke didn't show any glitches.
I've packaged it into fglrx-installer and uploaded.  Enjoy!

Note that users of older ATI cards may need to use the -ati open source
driver.  It now supports 2D for all ATI hardware up to R7xx, and 3D up
to R5xx.

Note that -fglrx can interfere with -ati if it's installed.  See the
following document on how to fully uninstall it:
