There have been quite some changes on the libdrm r6xx/r7xx branch
recently <http://cgit.freedesktop.org/mesa/drm/log/?h=r6xx-r7xx-support>.
Wouldn't these also be needed?

The r6xx/7xx branch of -ati was already merged to master, so maybe the
libdrm branch will also land soon.

BTW, I have Jaunty builds from -ati master in my PPA, which I
recommend over Bryce's branch builds:
