Just a quick warning,

* 07_fix_startup_blink.diff
     - Alter startup sequence to avoid blinking the display whilst
       initialising the graphics chip.
       (Closes LP: #148686)

This works for me (and no-one has complained about it yet), however it
doesn't actually fix a serious bug (just a "blinking" annoyance). No-one
on the Xorg list has commented on it, and no-one from bug #148686 has
commented that they've tested it, and that if fixes the "bug" (feature).

Given the SRU procedure I've read, I doubt its suitable (aside from the
fact that my testing packages people have confirmed fix their crashes
had this patch included). It does affect the sequence of HWState
save/restore at startup, which is both bad for SRU reasons as the bug it
fixes is minor, and might warrant further testing by people without this
patch if the SRU won't have it.

Best wishes,
