[ubuntu-x] mesa in Hardy carrying large .diff.gz

Hi all,

I was wondering if there was any reasoning / log files available to
identify why there is a large .diff.gz for mesa in hardy, which is
outside the debian directory.

I was quite confused to see quilt patches, and a large .diff.gz

I'm currently debugging a nasty rendering order problem with VTK in
Gutsy (which seems Mesa / Intel video related). I'm getting different
behaviour with a recompile of Hardy's later mesa version into Gutsy, and
am now trying the git head of mesa for good measure.

If anyone can point me at why this large diff exists, touching things
like shader programs, GL API xml files etc.. I'd appreciate it.
