Checking the last e-mail Amber Graner sent today, I noticed that I've been part of Ubuntu Woman Team since 2009-02-19 but I wasn't part of the list. I joined the list today and one of the suggestions talks about introduce myself to the team.<br>
Well I guess I don't have too much to say about me, I can tell you I'm from Colombia but I had been living in Central America for 8 years, first being in Costa Rica, then Guatemala and now in Honduras. I Knew about Ubuntu because an old classmate Fabián Rodríguez (MagicFab) told me and encouraged me to join the community when I was in Guatemala. I was just getting ready to make contact with the team in Guatemala when I had to move to Honduras.<br>
<br>Fabián told me the Ubuntu Honduras community was <span><span style="background-color: rgb(255, 255, 255);" title="totalmente inactiva desde hace un buen tiempo">completely inactive for a while ago</span></span> and that it could be a nice opportunity to <span><span style="background-color: rgb(255, 255, 255);" title="y empezar a trabajar dadno a conocer Ubuntu">start working and make know Ubuntu</span></span> here.<br>
<span><span style="background-color: rgb(255, 255, 255);" title="así que decidí darme la oportunidad">So I decided to give me the opportunity</span></span> and we "re-open" the team on 2008-09-13. <span><span style="background-color: rgb(255, 255, 255);" title="la primera persona que apareció fue Diego a quien algunos de ustedes ya conocen">The first person to appear was Diego Turcios who some of you already know</span></span> and then more and more people followed joining the team. Today we have 51 members and we hope more people come to join us. Not all of them are very active but we have a nice group of 5 people that believe we can do it and hope we will find more Ubuntu fan/lovers that help us to continue. Honduras is a country that <span><span style="background-color: rgb(255, 255, 255);" title="tiene conocimiento escaso o equivocado sobre el Software Libre">has little or wrong knowledge about Free Software so we have a lot of opportunities ;)</span></span><br>
