Hi Liz,
Great to hear from the NZ women!!
I am so new to all this I am green around the gills. Even IRC has been a very scary adventure. Is there a nice, friendly user guide for IRC somewhere? I followed the instructions to the letter while on IRC and seemed to miss out on the implied stuff that "everyone just knows" 8)
All the best,
Rachel.

2008/11/6 Liz <liz@debian.co.nz>

Heya,
Im Liz, im from NZ also, and fairly up with the game regarding Linux and
Ubuntu (looong time user). The online meetings always appear to be at
the wrong timezone here as well, but the LUG are an excellent way to
meet like minded people.
There are a few women on the LUGS in NZ, and I think its time we made
our presense felt :)

Liz
ps, Im previously from Auckland, now in Cambridge.
