[UbuntuWomen] Meeting? Issues

All,
A. Mani is right, our last true, useful meeting was in March. We tried
to have ones after that, including the one at the UOS, but I was always
found that it was just the chair (me!) speaking. I don't know when this
diminishing participation started perhaps even before I joined the team
and get a few things going. But after a year or so, it all gone quiet
and it's dis-motivating me to even do something! I wanted to say
something but real life is keeping me busy and I thank A. Mani for
posting this.
My thoughts on A. Mani's ideas:
1. I think the colors/theme requires the system admins of Canonical to
change and allow users to pick and choose, but I think we should revise
the menu since we have people who can change that page. Right now it's
in alphabetical order and I think that's incorrect way to show new
readers what is important. Perhaps we can reorder it and also add an
"*" to the important ones or have a label and have them under that
label.
As for the mentor program, I think we need to outright remove that link
from the menu and perhaps that page also. Until we have more people
willing to do something in our group to restart that program.
As for the wiki page content, we have this page[1] where we collect the
pages and the ones who can work on them.
2. The last time that we had a Classroom session for UW, Lyz and me
hosted it. I don't recall anyone willing to join. Perhaps, we need to
reach out to other Women groups in the FOSS world and try to do
classroom sessions with their groups as A. Mani said. I believe that
you, A. Mani, know where and who to ask outside UW and maybe you can
start the work on that.
