kiwiirc is free software under affero GPL that requires modifications
to be shared compulsorily.

Obviously it is better for the target user base (though the default
theme is bad).

so we can recommend kwiirc too.

How well can we configure help for newbies?

Some checks on mini browsers would be useful.
I checked it on FF... requires java.

How hard will it be for admins?

But I guess we have a strong IRC admin team, so that is not likely to
be an issue. :)
