I think the two asking about whether you're recognized for being a
woman or for your open source involvement was aimed at the "respected
for knowledge or skills" bit.
As to the date thing...I suspect it's meant more for like "woah,
there's a chick here! Will you go out with me?!" by strangers (cuz ya
know...been there...), but I'm not sure how they could have worded it
differently to distinguish between fetishizing a woman for being
present at such-and-such event versus two equals going on a date.
