I like Mackenzie's suggestions.

Also, having a Twitter list that follows all women who are known
Ubuntu users (whether in the group or not) is a good idea.

I'm the @pyladies Twitter maintainer, btw.  I'll retweet anything that
mentions Python.  I'll retweet interesting quotes about women's
participation in open-source.  I'll generally retweet anything that
looks interesting and relevant.  We have <200 followers, but a fair
number of them are important folks in the Python community, women and
men who retweet our posts heavily.  I want the same success for
@ubuntuwomen!
