Hi all :-)
During our last Ubuntu Women Project IRC meeting
(http://wiki.ubuntu-women.org/Meetings/20100121) the decision was made
that the team would vote on 4 options for the Purpose of the IRC
channel(s). See link above for agenda, notes, and logs. The voting
period would last from January 28, 2010 through February 4, 2010.
This allocated period of time would allow for maximum participation of
the Ubuntu Women Project Team members registered on or before January
26, 2010.
On January 26, 2010, eligible email addresses from the Ubuntu Women
Team in Launchpad were gathered. There were a total of 194 active
members per Launchpad. 59 of those email addresses are hidden; 135
email address are available. The 59 emails that are hidden will be
sent a similar email from me via Launchpad requesting that they reply
with a +1 indicating to me so that I may add their email address to
the poll, or a -1 indicting that they do not wish to participate in
the poll on IRC Purpose and Logging.
This email is being sent to the list for purposes of transparency. It
is also being sent to the individual addresses listed on Ubuntu Women
Team in Launchpad. I apologize in advance that you will be receiving
two (2) emails if you are on the mailing list and in Launchpad. My
intent is not to bombard your inbox, but to ensure that if you are on
the mailing list, and registered as a Ubuntu Women Project team
member, with a hidden email, on or before January 26, 2010, that you
are given the opportunity to participate in the poll.
You should be receiving your voting keys shortly. Thank you in
advance for participating in the Ubuntu Women Project and Ilook
forward to announcing the team's decision on February 5, 2010.

There are lots of Linux users who don't care how the kernel works, but
only want to use it. That is a tribute to how good Linux is.
