In this regard, having a collective voice helps. Sometimes it also
helps to establish a direct line of communication -- this may not
always work out according to expectations but that is fine. The
important part is you (impersonal) spoke up. That matters.

I'll amen that :) Imho, men who speak up openly against sexist
comments help floss a lot more than they realise, else women who speak
up against sexism are erroneously perceived as "whiners". I had
read Matt's (mdz) blog and thanked him privately, but I'd like to
publicly thank him for his support. We need more folks like him.
