These days, LVM means you don't have to do even that. My disks tend to
consist of one 250MB /boot partition (enough space for distribution-
specific kernels) and a large LVM hunk, split into logical volumes as
needed. Works like a charm, these days.
And, let's face it, online-resizing partitions is just plain fun,
at least compared to The Olde Ways. :-P
