[UbuntuWomen] What makes a video game "female friendly"?

I'm a casual gamer who generally likes either sim and strategy games -
or online roleplaying ones.

Things that I don't like are when my gender is made an issue of. You
often see laddish male bonding stuff in online communities which
naturally excludes me. Do *not* under *any* circumstances think that
you want a pink theme etc. That will be guaranteed to offend many
people!

What I really want is gender neutrality - fantasy without a bipolar
world full of stereotypes. The thick and macho tank is a much a gender
cliche as the cute, top heavy little healer.

Mindless violence, is, well, mindless. I'm not a pacifist but nor do I
get off on killing for the sake of it. I've nothing to prove!

Caroline
