Hi,

The first artwork made for Ubuntu, during Warty development, tried to
show the idea of "humanity" and contained some images with half-naked
people. There was a great discussion about that[0], and they removed it
from default.

After that, there was a period where it was common to see "comic" sites
referring to Ubuntu as Linux for naked people and featuring images
related to sex. 

I believe it is called satire.
