hmm... I am not sure if you are looking to volunteer or something else entirely. To get you started, if its Ubuntu and women volunteers specific then you have reached the right list. You can discuss any Ubuntu-related volunteer task or project topic on this list. You can even start one of your own and use this space and the forums to gather critical mass for your project. There are many folks who would be able to guide you.
However if you are looking for just a place to discuss Linux with other like-minded women, then you could try the different mailing lists at www.linuxchix.org

Well if you are looking to volunteer for any Linux project, to be clear, most folks dont ask volunteers for a CV or any formal IT/CS qualifications as much as your time, enthusiasm and ofcourse commitment to whichever project you get involved in. Mentors (and their projects) could do a lot more with the latter :)
