Hi,

as I was asked in the first mail to introduce myself I'll do so.

My Name is Lydia, 22, from Germany (Karlsruhe), student of computer science.
My homepage: http://www.lydiapintscher.de (sorry only in German)
I've been using Kubuntu for about 6 month now and it is great. I love it.

2 weeks ago I talked to my stepdad about Ubuntu, Kubuntu and Linux in general
and he seriously thought about having a look at it (which is a big step *g*).
The only Problem should he install Ubuntu on his laptop: I live about 400 km
away from my family and should there be any bigger problem I probably
couldn't help him. With Windows at least my 2 brothers know what to do most
of the time.

So this is why I'm here: I'd like to help make Ubuntu more usable for someone
with little to no knowledge like my stepdad. (Right now he is even afraid of
switching his browser from IE to Firefox or Opera because there are all these
little things he thinks he just couldn't understand. But that's another
thing.) So I'd like to contribute to a usability team or something like that.
I'm a student so I don't have a lot of time but would love to spend that time
on Ubuntu and co.

Greetings
Lydia
