[UbuntuWomen] an idea...

Hello Everyone,

I've decided to keep a journal of sorts about my experiences with Ubuntu and
FOSS in general. I'm writing it to document how I came to make decisions
about my change of OS, how I fixed the first bug I encountered, and
ultimately how I'm trying to contribute to open source. I'm calling it "My
journey to being an open source contributor". I'm still working on the
actual contributing part...but I'm sure I'll get there eventually ;-)

I was thinking that other members of our group could write stories like this
and then we could compile them all together. That way, as we get more new
members, they can look at our stories and see that we come from all
different skill sets and places in the world, and find ways they can relate
to who we are and what steps we've taken.

Maybe we could put these stories off the wiki eventually?

By the way, I'm really glad I decided to 1.) install Ubuntu, and 2.) join
the ubuntu-women group. This has definitely been the best and friendliest
experience I've had with using linux.
