HI Liz,

I'm a neighbour in Australia:)

Of my kids:
the 20yo uses windows. she is living in her own place now, near her
work, and has bought her computer all setup that way, and uses it for
games and internet. I pointed out necessary safe windows usage apps,
and told her no tech support from home:)

14yo has kubuntu laptop, nearly 12yo xubuntu laptop. both love them.
(interesting aside, when upgrading 12yo's boxen, offered to put kde on
like her sister - she prefers xfce.)

miss 5 and master 3 LOVE gcompris. on mum's laptop (fvwm minimalist
customised ubuntu), or on dad's freebsd box.

my 5yo started school this year, and came home complaining about how
hard the computers were at school to use. "stupid windows" she said:)

yay for raising the geek kid level!

r:)
