There is Pootle, but Debian is looking at other alternatives :

It will be so much nicer if the wheel were not reinvented and Ubuntu
could find a common platform to collaborate with Debian :)

Similar to spam filtering, couldnt you track the full bug report filed
for some common keywords and maybe keep it as a seperate search
functionality in LP through which all filed bugs must pass through ...
just asking.  Will that make the system very slow  or something else
that I am missing.

ahh... a karma system for lists could be a nightmare to track
objectively as far as quality of posts go :-) but thanks for taking
the time out !

hmmm...  words like 'product' 'project' are generic and can mean
different things hence the confusion but today I noted the distinction
on LP :) Now that Clytie is the owner for the translation team in LP,
only she can tell if she has any issues. I believe she had posted to
the LP/Rosetta list but ....
