Usually. I have not encountered an ethernet adapter with a USB<br>
interface that is not supported.<br>

What do you mean "mod"? If you need a driver, you download it and<br>
compile it. You don't have to mod anything. Or you run a distro that<br>
includes support for the device you are using.<br>
