<div dir="ltr">Hi,<div><br></div><div>I recently installed 20.04 on a system that previously had 18.04. One difference the I've seen is that I can't get sound from the front speakers when the mic is plugged in in 20.04. This behavior is different from 18.04 where I could control the speaker volume independently using a command like:</div><div><br></div><div><span style="font-family:monospace"><span style="color:rgb(0,0,0)">amixer -c1 -d set Front 30</span><br></span></div><div><br></div><div>pulseaudio shows both front speakers and headphones are plugged in, and there are controls for both, but the speakers do nothing in 20.04 when the headphones are plugged in as far as I can tell. Any workaround for this new behavior other than physically plugging/unplugging the headphones?</div><div><br></div><div>Relevant /proc/asound/cards output:</div><div><span style="font-family:monospace"><span style="color:rgb(0,0,0)"> 1 [Generic ]: HDA-Intel - HD-Audio Generic
