I noticed postings on this subject so I might as well chirp in!<br>

Under 16.04 I suspended my session and the screen turned blank. When I<br>
came back  to resume, the screen stayed blank and re-booting seemed my<br>

 I was under 14.04 for about two years and this never happened.<br>
