</span>due to the nature of snaps (everything that gets shipped is readonly<br>
and non-modifiable, only data after starting a service is stored in rw<br>
areas) there are strict paths for writable data ... a service like<br>
nextcoud would store all data in:<br>
<br>
/var/snap/nextcloud/current/<br>
<br>
so your data would have to move there (and indeed you can backup that<br>
location like you did with /data/owncloud)<br>

My / is 100GB and /data is around 1.9TB.</div><div><br></div><div>So in current there is a data partition which I change to a symbolic link to /data/owncloud.</div><div><br></div><div>I can see that working for a new install but what about migrating from oC 9. There is around 37G in /data/owncloud and 78G free in / so should be OK.</div><div><br></div><div>So just checking that snap would tactically migrate oC9 to NextCloud.</div><div><br></div><div>Will have a look at snap.</div><div><br></div><div>Ben</div><div> </div><blockquote class="gmail_quote" style="margin:0 0 0 .8ex;border-left:1px #ccc solid;padding-left:1ex">
