</span>You still haven't answered if there is a mouse plugged in when this<br>
happens while you are using the touchpad. If there is, unplug it and<br>
see if the problem disappears.<br>

</span>Can you post the output of 'free'? If you need swap you can always<br>
create a swap file.<br>
