One annoying problem that I've yet to resolve is the dropping of the Ethernet connection after waking from sleep. I occasionally had the same problem with a wireless connection on my laptop but that was easily overcome by pressing the "connect" button. There isn't a "connect" button in the "Active connections" box after waking on the desktop computer. The "Active connections" box is blank until the computer is rebooted.

A Google search has shown that this is a common problem. A few workarounds have been offered, however, none have worked for me. How have other list members overcome this problem?
