I am not to good at this. But I have 3 video drives to chose from
and would try one of the other ones. But I have only bin using
Ubuntu for 10 years or so I am a copy and past old man and when I
start messing with changing thing in my video stuff to go faster I
can get all kind of stuff going wrong. But I am lucky that I have
most everything backed up and can do a new install in no time at
all.
Hope you get better Johnnny333 at 68+++ and still ticking.
PS I am lucky to be retired and don't have customers look over me
any more after 35 years at IBM wanting to now how long it will take
to fix something.
I'll have to wait until I go to work to try out things, since I
can't
repro the problem working remotely from home. Right now I have an
annoying head cold so I'll have to see if I feel up to going in
tomorrow, otherwise it will have to wait until Tuesday.
There's one uncompressed that covers dates starting at Jan 6,
2015.
Then there are 9 compressed, starting from last April 16 (2014).
I can't see my boot menu right now, but in my /boot directory I
have 4
versions of the 3.16 kernel installed: 24, 25, 28, and 29. I'm
currently running 29.
