On the last item the router light does come on when I plug the ethernet chord into the computer. The icon does not change when I do so other than the 5 band network icon pulsates, just like it does when you are connecting wirelessly. The icon itself is fan shaped with 4 or 5 bars. On the drop down list it shows 'ethernet disconnect' my current wifi connection and others. <br><br></div><div class="gmail_extra">I have tried connecting to the ethernet with wifi disabled, to no effect.
