If the 'menu thingy' you mean is pulseaudio volume control, I've referred<br>
to that already. And I'm not connecting to a speaker, but to a USB DAC.<br>
Pulse seems to want to use s/pdif. I want to use USB. How does your menu<br>
describe the connection you are using exactly?<br>
