<div dir="ltr">I did not ask for files to be deleted from the external hard drive but they are gone!  Any recommendations for programs to use to try to recover them?  I have a computer with Ubuntu 13.10, nice fast HP laptop, and a netbook that is pretty quick with 12.10.  The HD is a Toshiba.  I had FAT on there as the drive is used also by a windows box.<div>
