to use Adobe Flash v 11.7. Apparently Adobe stopped development at 11.2
and 11.7 is not available in anything other than Chrome.
Does anyone know why? Is it absolutely true that 11.7 is not available
elsewhere? Any comments about it? Will it install in Ubuntu 12.04.2
beside FireFox 20.0 and not cause any trouble? I'm thinking to use it
only when I need Adobe Flash.
Comments / Help greatly appreciated

I don't know, ask Adobe why. Why they decided to drop the flash player support for Linux.<br />So Linux stuck in 11.2 version. Careful here, not Ubuntu only, but ANY LINUX distribution.<br /><br />Feature is here -> HTML5 is near.<br />Eventually HTML5 will prevail and the problematic flash player will be abandoned completely.<br /><br /><span id="editor_signature"><span style="font-family:Verdana; font-size:12px">Regards <br />NikTh <br /><br />-- https://wiki.ubuntu.com/NikTh -- </span></span></span></span>
