I am trying to make my Asus 1025 ce have full 3d (it only runs 2D
I even do that given I am running 12.04.2?
Here are instructions:
12.10 can not run on this machine near as I can tell from searches.
Does installing 3.4 in effect convert 12.04 to 12.10?
Hi Gary,

what issue are you trying to solve exactly, what is the graphic circuit in your laptop ? (NVidia, AMD, Intel ?) Did you try different drivers for this graphic adapter ?

In 10.04 you can easily try a newer kernel (3.5 from 12.10) by installing the package "linux-generic-lts-quantal" . But it may not solve your graphic problem if you need a proprietary driver for you graphic adapter to work properly.
