no cigar.</div>

<div>I'll try to rephrase the question:</div>
<div><br>
</div>
<div>I am a freelance PC technician. I visit my customer's
houses and fix their computers. In cases it can not be fixed
at their house, I take the computer to my PC Lab. Usually for
troubleshooting and sometimes re-installation of the OS.</div>
<div><br>
</div>
<div>In some cases I am even able to convince them to switch to
Ubuntu from whatever they are using at the time.</div>
<div><br>
</div>
<div>Now to my question:</div>
<div><br>
</div>
<div>I have a 32Gb pen drive. I'd like to install GRUB on it to
boot the different options for my "bug hunting" procedure,
i.e.: create a folder named ISO, put a bunch of ISO files in
it and choose between them at boot time. For example:</div>
<div><br>
</div>
<div>System Rescue</div>
<div>Windows 7 Install</div>
<div>Ubuntu Install</div>
<div>Avira Rescue CD...</div>
<div><br>
</div>
<div style="">So, How do I figure out what to write in the menu
item for each (except the title, of course...). I want to be
able to figure it out for any live ISO out there, not just for
those I mentioned.</div>
<div style=""><br>
</div>
<div style="">Thanks,</div>

I don't have an answer to your question about creating a grub menu
on a USB stick, and to be honest this really isn't an Ubuntu
question. But I can perhaps let you know what I do, as I too help
friends and do some site visits at company's to fix their computers
- I prefer to do server and networking work though ;)<br>
<br>
What I use for Linux and utility boot ISOs like System Rescue is
YUMI - Multiboot USB creator, the down side is you have to create it
from Windows. You can get more info and download it from <a
href="http://www.pendrivelinux.com/yumi-multiboot-usb-creator">http://www.pendrivelinux.com/yumi-multiboot-usb-creator</a>
it's free. I have a 16G key with Ubuntu desktop/server/knoppix and
some AV boot up disks as well as things like Clonezilla and it works
really well! You could give the custom ISO a go with a Win7 ISO but
I'm not sure if that would work.<br>
<br>
I also use a Windows 7 USB boot up key as well which you can create
and download form here: <a
href="http://www.microsoftstore.com/store/msstore/html/pbPage.Help_Win7_usbdvd_dwnTool">http://www.microsoftstore.com/store/msstore/html/pbPage.Help_Win7_usbdvd_dwnTool
</a><br>
<br>
Now that's enough talk about Windows on an Ubuntu mailing list!! So
if you do need more info I would kindly suggest you post a question
on a relative forum or IRC that's more suited to USB boot keys etc
:-)<br>
<br>
In any case hope this helps.<br>
<br>
Thanks<br>
