FWIW, I've no clue if this is the same duck, but kmail in 10.04 LTS is<br>
suffering greatly since about a week or so back. Hit any reply, and it may<br>
be 2 or 3 minutes before the composer opens, you can pop over to a<br>
different workspace screen, like to htop, and the system is not doing a<br>
thing. But just switching workspaces seems to generate enough of an IRQ<br>
storm that kmail finally gets to execute. Once the composer window is<br>
open. then everything is back to normal, till the next time you click one<br>
of the reply buttons. I rebooted last night, and the lag is now only 20<br>
seconds or so, but something has definitely gone aglay in one of the<br>
updates recently.<br>
