As far as I can tell there's no difference in the mail I see on my
laptops, as opposed to what I see on my desktop. When I
open/read/delete a message in my GMail on one machine, it shows me
the same thing on any of my other computers. But I IMAP all my
accounts, (and I have quite a few: 1GMail - 2Yahoo - 1AOL -
1Hotmail/MSN - and 1Mail.com account) All of them act the "same" in
that if I go to a web-interface and manipulate any message it
reflects it in the Thunderbird app. Originally a few people had
advised me to use Evolution as an e-mail client, but I prefer TB. I
would say, if you really want to use it, go ahead, and try it out,
if your mail is on the GMail server there's no real danger of
breaking anything.<br>
