 Removed the ATI drivers and went with the open source. GLX is up and running, but now I have the EDID bug. It's interesting that while my 3D wasn't working, I didn't have this problem. I'll continue to look around to see if anyone has a solution. Initially, it appears that creating an Xorg.conf file that tells it to ignore the monitors EDID is one possibility. Barry
