<div dir="ltr">Hello Again,<div><br></div><div>Apparently I wasn't clear enough...<br><br>It has nothing to do with my password. Before the upgrade, if I wanted to install an app using the Ubuntu Software Center, I'd do the following:</div>
<div>1. I wold press the meta key and get the unity menu.</div><div>2. I'd start writing something for the app name, say - Ubuntu software center.</div><div>3. I'd get the icon, click it and after choosing an app and clicking the Install button,</div>
<div>4. I'd get a prompt for the root password (gksu) </div><div>5. After entering it, the app would be installed.</div><div><br></div><div>After the upgrade, nothing happens when I click the Install button in step 4. I have to start the Software center from the command line, either with sudo or gksu.</div>

</div>Probably nothing to do with your problem but if you want to run "sudo"<br>
on a graphical app you must use gksu, so it should be<br>
gksu software-properties-gtk<br>
