When dealing with a similar situation, I had very good
experiences with "GParted", which is for sure in the normal
repository. I have used that package several times to make a USB
stick bootable as well as to lable it. <br>

Hi,<br>
Thanks very much I have used gparted, but I will try and partition
my usb device with gparted. I have been using cfdisk but maybe this
is a problem.<br>
