Sorry but you've pretty much borked your install when<br>
'nat@nat-desktop:~/firefox$ ./firefox -P' isn't working.<br>

Here; start from scratch (with some apologies to Chris Jones):<br>

Make sure you have a browser working & download Firefox again from:<br>
<a href="http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/firefox.html" target="_blank">http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/firefox.html</a><br>
<br>
Remove nat@nat-desktop:~/firefox either via Nautilus or cli/terminal:<br>
<br>
$ rm -r ~/firefox<br>
<br>
Extract the downloaded firefox-3.6.8.tar.bz2 from Nautilius by right<br>
clicking on the file and selecting 'Extract Here'. You now should have a<br>
new ~/firefox (nat@nat-desktop:~/firefox). Go to that folder:<br>
<br>
$ cd nat@nat-desktop:~/firefox<br>
and run<br>
$ ./firefox -P<br>
<br>
and let me know the results.<br>
