And here is the thing..<br>

This appears to be not a "system" version of Firefox, but a stand-alone<br>
copy in your home directory..<br>
<br>
For a normal setup, firefox should be started from /usr/bin/firefox, not<br>
~/Firefox/firefox (~ meaning *your* home directory - sorry if you know<br>
this, don't know how much you do, so putting anyway)<br>
<br>
macgyver@executor:/home/macgyver> which firefox<br>
/usr/bin/firefox<br>
<br>
<br>
Unless there is a really compelling reason to use one specifically in<br>
your own home directory, I would try to use the system one..<br>
<br>
Try running the "which firefox" command to make sure you get the<br>
same /usr/bin/firefox as myself (also a 10.04 LTS user)<br>
<br>
Try running that version, see what happens...<br>
<br>
<br>
If you don't get that, but something else, then the pathing may well be<br>
a bit broken, and a re-install of firefox from Synaptic might be the<br>
best course of action.<br>
