I tried to configure it in "network proxy" in Gnome, but after pressing apply an authentication error comes up, and ask for a password. What password should I supply? (I cannot see where to supply proxy user-password pair!?) I tried the password of my account and even that of root. Same error comes up. I've already changed root's password from default.
